Your Facilitators
Ms. Sapna Moudgil – Director, NIIT Foundation
Sapna quit corporate life in 2008 to join the social sector, fulfilling her desire to work with under-privileged youth, helping them develop the skills required to be successful in life. In the last 12 years, Sapna has enabled NIIT foundation to deliver quality at scale, educating and skilling over 2.5 million children, youth, and adults pan India. Sapna is passionate about deep transformation and NIIT Foundation has launched a Change Maker Student initiative to ensure that every student develops qualities such as confidence, communication, civic sense, and helpful nature along with the technical skills they learn. Her conviction in the effectiveness of the GC methodology was one of the key drivers for making NF a Genuine Contact Organization. As part of the leadership team, she encouraged and rewarded the adoption of the GC methods for meetings with different stakeholders such as NF employees, Funding partners, Student and Parent communities, and NGO partners, thus contributing to an overall culture change in NF. |
Tulika Mehra- Inspiring Innovations & Organization Transformation at NIIT Foundation
Tulika has been associated with the development sector in India since 2001. Most of her work has been with underserved youth living in urban slums and villages in India. She had been supporting NIIT Foundation’s vision of providing skills for employment to underserved youth for 11 years. In 2016, NIIT Foundation (NF) decided that it was time to work on building leadership capacities in young people, along with their career orientation training. Deeply convinced about this shift and the urgent need to build these skills in young people, Tulika found herself embracing the Genuine Contact Program (GCP) in 2017. This learning journey with Genuine Contact (GC) led her to initiate the Changemaker Student Process at NF. In March 2020, she successfully completed all the required modules of the Genuine Contact Program and became a certified GC trainer. |
NIIT FoundationNIIT Foundation (NF) is a not-for-profit education society set up by the promoters of NIIT in 2004. Its mission is to positively impact the underprivileged of the country through educational initiatives and employability skill development programs. To achieve this, NF runs various grassroots initiatives in partnership with other corporates. We set up skill development centres in urban and rural areas that offer placement support to all eligible students. We provide digital and financial literacy programs. We also install Hole-in-the-Wall Learning Stations to bridge the digital divide. In addition, NF supports other NGOs to build their capacity. NF has been delivering projects ranging from customized CSR solutions as per partner requirements, school programs, college collaborations, community initiatives and digital empowerment, which are mandated as per Section 135 of companies act 2013. The projects reach out to a wide range of beneficiaries from the age group of 6 to 60 years. |
