If you use Google Calendar, you can add all of the upcoming events for Genuine Contact to your calendar with 1 click. In addition to the GCO Monthly Meetings, you'll also be able to see all upcoming IGCO learning opportunities - both for members inside the IGCO as well as learning modules offered by authorized GC Trainers. The zoom link for joining each GCO Monthly Meeting is in the calendar event.

These meetings are open to everyone, whether you've registered in advance or not. There's always room in the circle, so please join us!

While the time of the meeting is 9 am - 12 pm Eastern Time, the meetings will not always be for this entire duration. The length of the meeting will be informed by the emerging needs of the organization and the agenda that is built from those needs. Please block out this time in your calendar if you are able so that you are able to stay for the full meeting if possible, should decision making or other needs create a longer meeting time. If you aren't able to be there for the full time but still wish to attend, please join us as you are able!

GCO Monthly Meetings

The Invitation

You're welcome here.

This is your invitation to join your GC colleagues for our monthly IGCO meeting – a regular time to gather, learn together, and move our collective work forward.

Purpose

We gather to support increased use of the Genuine Contact Way in the world. Each month, we create space for IGCO members to come together in real time – working alongside each other, learning from each other, and tending to the organization we've built together.

Leadership

Rachel Bolton, Director of the International Genuine Contact Organization and Way of Working, sponsors these meetings. Members in the Partner, Ambassador, Steward, and Elder groups are invited to step into facilitation leadership of individual meetings. Facilitating a Whole Person Process Facilitation (WPPF) meeting is a meaningful leadership learning opportunity – a chance to practice this way of working in a real organizational setting, with the support of your GC community.

Vision

We're working toward a future where many engaged IGCO members come together – actively and intentionally moving our collective work forward. Here's what you might find on the agenda:

  • Updates from working groups, so everyone knows what's happening across the organization and where they can contribute
  • Conversation and mentoring on emerging issues and opportunities
  • Invitations to bring your ideas and engage the collective wisdom of everyone in the room
  • Decision making using our 5toFold process, when proposals are ready to move forward
  • Anything else that matters to the IGCO or its members in that moment

Community

These are GCO meetings – and all members are welcome. Attending is itself an act of leadership – a chance to learn by doing, alongside colleagues who share your commitment to the Genuine Contact Way. If you're reading this, there's a place for you here.

Method

Here's how the meetings work.

Meeting Dates

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, 9 am – 12 pm Eastern. Upcoming dates are listed at the top of this page.

The meetings won't always run the full three hours. The length will be shaped by what's emerging and what the agenda calls for. We encourage you to block the full time in your calendar when you can – especially when decision making is on the agenda. If you can't stay the whole time, come for what you can. Every contribution matters.

Meeting Method

We usually facilitate these meetings using WPPF. The method will always follow the content, so you may find us using a different approach when the agenda calls for it.
Meetings are held on Zoom. We may also use Miro or other online tools when appropriate.

Decision Making

These meetings can include formal decision making. All decision-making in the GCO follows the GCO Decision-Making Operating Given. You'll find everything you need to know there – including the proposal process and how 5toFold is used within the organization.
