Birgitt Williams is an international management, leadership, and organizational development consultant, author, meeting facilitator, teacher, and executive coach. She is also a mentor for leaders, leadership teams, and organizational development consultants as they undertake various change projects.

Her business focus is to help leaders narrow the gap between the potential of the people, and the results, to help them thrive in a performance environment of constant change. She is an advocate of creating and nurturing a culture of leadership in which the authority to get the job done is directly linked to the responsibility and accountability for the work.

People in leadership have stretched themselves and their capacity beyond the paradigm of “managing people” to what was once a new paradigm of “leading so people will follow”. It is now time, in these times of rapid, constant change, to meet the need for agile, flexible, responsive organizations by stretching again to the new leadership paradigm “leading so people will lead”. Birgitt guides people in figuring out how to lead and work with the next level leadership that is required.

Birgitt Williams, as well as being a Co-owner, is a Co-founder of the Genuine Contact program. In 2010, the Co-owners Group granted Birgitt lifetime co-ownership as an appreciation for her creation, commitment, investment, and her possibility thinking. Birgitt is a committed Co-owner as a steward for jointly held resources, as a leader and mentor for Genuine Contact professionals. For years, Birgitt has invited people into what she declared to be the new leadership paradigm “leading so people will lead”. She supports next level leadership, teaching that “leading so people will lead” requires expansion beyond existing leadership skills, capacity, and knowledge.

Birgitt works the Genuine Contact way because it is a proven, credible way to work from a holistic perspective in organizations. This way of working takes into account closing the gap between the potential of people in an organization and the results. This way of working also takes into account achieving those results while paying attention to the well being of the people involved. And of course, this requires working within the new leadership paradigm in which people throughout an organization are invited to use their leadership to get the work done.
