Although in some ways my earliest memories of Genuine Contact are from my very early years in life, my first intentional experiences of learning Genuine Contact happened in 1999 in Sweden. It started with a quest to really understand what it was that my mom was doing in her work – the best way, of course, to learn what she was teaching. And it began a lifetime passion.
Waking up every morning at Rånäs Slott, taking a walk through the castle grounds and the nearby village, and warming up in the wine cellar-turned-sauna was a sure way to start my day in genuine contact with myself. Learning OST and WPPF within this international context in a room full of people mostly twice my age was a sure way to invite me to be in genuine contact with others. Both workshops gave me the tools to be able to be in genuine contact with collectives.
And little did I know, but the seeds were planted on that learning journey for being in genuine contact with creation as I answer the call of stewarding Genuine Contact into the future.
