I grew up in a tiny village surrounded by nature and with an active community life. As long as I remember I wonder about the miracle called life. This motivated me to educate as a sociologist and continue with humanistic studies about humanisation of society and giving meaning to life.

My career path started in 1992 as a social policy advisor in the public domain and as a consultant in long-term care. My niches are inclusion of people with disabilities and integration of well-being and meaning of life questions in long term care. I also published several articles, methodologies, and guidelines. Gradually I developed into a program leader, coach, facilitator and trainer as well. In addition to my scientific courses, I am a certified hatha yoga instructor. I was leader of a national expertise network of life questions of the elderly at the Centre of Expertise for Long-term Care in the Netherlands. And director at Samsara Yoga Docentenopleiding, a recognized hatha yoga and meditation teacher training also based in the Netherlands. Since 2021 I'm member of the advisory board of this organization.

I became a certified Genuine Contact Trainer in 2017 because I experienced and witnessed success working the Genuine Contact way. I feel a strong connection with the values, believes and spirit of Genuine Contact and strive hopes for more people and organizations to benefit from the program.

Why the Genuine Contact way of working?

I work the Genuine Contact way because it merges together different ways of wisdom. The program offers simple tools to solve complex issues and to deal with diverse situations. It helps me to create a nourishing climate in all kinds of environments. It enables people to connect with each other, themselves and their purpose and feel really alive and to achieve what they are looking for. Working the Genuine Contact way gives me the opportunity to contribute to a culture of heartfelt belonging.

What services do you offer that are rooted in Genuine Contact?

I offer a variety of services:

Board and management – Leadership in public and not-for-profit organizations in the public, social and cultural domain.
Coaching – Personal, Executive and Life Coaching. Helping people (in organizations) to live and work from an inspiring purpose, a heartfelt set of values, a clear vision, connected to others and trusting in the outcome.
Facilitation – Supporting organizations who want to work with change and achieve organizational health and balance. This could include working the Genuine Contact way with Open Space Technology, Whole Person Process Facilitation and Cross Cultural Conflict Resolution.
Consultancy – Consulting organizations in the public, social and cultural domain working concerning concept development, strategic planning and team & community building.
Training – I offer (online) Genuine Contact workshops in The Netherlands (also in-house or in-company):
