Segment 3: Cooperative Components of Whole Person Process Facilitation
Suggested Time: 1 hour | For self-study
In this learning segment, we examine three aspects of a Whole Person Process Facilitated meeting. First, we look at the dual role of Whole Person Process Facilitation as both a platform or operating system that can support a variety of applications, and as a process or method for learning. We will highlight, yet not delve too deeply into, the form of a Whole Person Process Facilitation meeting as part of the process. Understanding this dual role is fundamental to understanding what clients frequently refer to as the magic of whole person process facilitation. Next, we look at the concept of developing a meeting culture for an organization.
We offer to you that the two roles of whole person process facilitation as both a platform and a process, interwoven with the intentional development of a meeting culture, are interconnected cooperative components that are all at play when facilitating a meeting or workshop using whole person process facilitation.
The video is approximately 21 minutes long and will take approximately 1 hour to view and process your learning.

Segment 4: The Planning Meeting
Suggested Time: 1 hour | For self-study
The planning meeting might call up images of sorting out logistics for a meeting, but it’s so much more than that. It’s a preparatory meeting with the facilitator and the sponsor that’s important when considering using participatory meeting methods for making the most out of the investment in the meeting. Within the Genuine Contact way of working, we designed the format of the Planning Meeting specifically for meeting methods Open Space Technology and Whole Person Process Facilitation. However, it’s beneficial to use when thinking about any type of participatory meeting, no matter the method chosen. When you build planning meetings into your meeting facilitation process, you might even discover that it’s beneficial to plan all kinds of meetings.
This learning segment leads you through the form of the planning meeting and gives tips for how to make the most of using some of the tools from the Genuine Contact Toolkit to ensure you are designing the best meeting possible to achieve the intended objectives, what the most suitable facilitation method and plan will be, and what is needed within the organization for working with the outcomes after the meeting.
